Here I am on a trip we took to Hawaii, from the top of Diamond Head. I wasn't the most toned person out there, but I was certainly ok running around in a bikini.
Not too long after this photo, I found myself to be exahusted all the time. The 12 steps to my front door seemed like a mountain, let alone the 5 mile hikes I was used to.
I've been seeing a wonderful N.P. under the direction of an endocrinologist. After many blood test which revealed severe Vitamin B deficency, and getting on a truckload of supplements, along with my T3/T4, I've got a lot more energy. But I don't have my body back.
My mother passed away in February, and this was my Dad's and my first Christmas without her. We went to Disneyland, opting to be distracted and anywhere other than my parents' living room with a 12 foot tree and no Mom. This is me and my dad at dinner this week. That dinner will be the subject of its own post, because the Chef's Table tasting menu at The Napa Rose deserves it's own space.
For the most part, I try to eat paleo, there have been periods when I've been less strict than others. After my mother died, naturally there was much more in the way of comfort food.
January 2nd, I'll be starting a Whole 30. January 2nd, because, let's face it, January 1st is for Brunch!
I'll be chronicling those 30 days here.
If anyone is out there....Hello!!
